The System

I had my appointment yesterday at Kaiser to see my Orthopedic Dr. The receptionist tells me I have to take an X-Ray. X-ray?!?! Are you kidding me? It's my knee that's the problem, not my tibia, not my femur; my MCL in my knee is the issue. But whatever, I have to go follow "the system" and do it anyway.

After I take my X-ray, my Ortho tells me, "well your bones look good." Hmmmm!!!! I wonder why?! She then goes through all the different tests and steps to see what's wrong with my knee. I feel like I've gone through this process countless times already; not only have I gotten it done by Ulyss and my coach, I do this everyday. I do it everyday to see how much my knee is progressing and if it's healing on it's own. Yes it is healing on its own, but it's not healing properly; there is still an element missing. I tell her the story about what happened, my symptons, what I've been doing to compensate, my day to day basis since the knee injury, stories I've told so many freakin times. She tells me "well you're going to have to see a specialist." Well DUH! So yet again, I have another doctor appointment on Friday.

It's so frustrating you know, I just wanna jump the gun and get it all done and over with. I wanna get this surgery done, get through rehab, and go back into training. But noooo, I have to go through this process, it's part of the system.

After my appointment though, I had a good night. I hung out with my best friend Lori. We had dinner, talked, laughed. I really do HEART that girl. The only that I can fully open up to. I'm gonna miss her when she leaves for the East Coast. MAKE SURE YOU COME BACK GIRL!!!!
